Read all about InSite Surveys and our drive to become the global leader in enterprise feedback management systems.
Vancouver - July 11, 2008 - InSite Survey Systems has announced the release of version 8.7 of its flagship application InSite Professional™. Standing on the shoulders of a winning formula, version 7 has enhanced its clean and innovative look to make the entire range of features intuitive and user-friendly than ever before.
"What has made InSite Professional a winner from day-one is that it is very user friendly and easy to work with", cites company president Alan Roberts "and version 8 keeps in line with that way of thinking. We're hearing a lot of positive feedback from our customers."
InSite Professional is an on demand Net-native application that users access over the internet using customer numbers, user names, and secure passwords. Unlike software that requires downloading, installation, and ongoing maintenance, InSite Professional provides users with leading edge technology to manage the entire survey process in a "worry free" user environment.
Daniel Miller, company CTO added that "we have been very conscious to develop our products that leverage the Internet as a delivery channel. We see on demand applications like InSite Professional to be the wave of the future."
Miller may just be right. In total, worldwide spending for Net native on demand applications exceeded US $4 billion in 2006 and is expected to grow to $10.7 billion by 2009, according to recent numbers published by IDC. In an IT environment where many vendors are learning to live with single-digit growth, this is an eye popping CAGR of 21 percent.
For those not familiar with InSite, the company has adopted what they call a "functionality forward" approach, in other words everything you need to do to run a certain task is laid out on a single screen that is launched from a Control Panel. The Control Panel itself display 4 interrelated modules that follow the workflow of designing, dispatching, tracking and reporting a survey.
"We spent a lot of time and effort of getting the little things right" says Roberts. Being from a research background, it seemed natural that Roberts and his team would consult their customers to help guide the redesign of the interface and refine functionality. "We started about a year ago talking to customers, observing how they used the application, and taking a lot of notes on what they would like to see with the next release. We've always been customer driven and version 7 was completely designed around customer feedback."
For those familiar with InSite, some of the enhancements of InSite Professional 7 include an updated interface that boasts integrated navigation and help functions as well as a re-tooled Survey Manager that allows users to design, edit, and post surveys - quickly and easily - right from the Control Panel.
The Dispatch Manager has been re-designed to give you a more efficient process for importing contacts, managing respondent lists, and composing messages for out-bound surveys. The Response Manager allows you to track surveys and respondents "on the fly" and the updated Report Manager gives you greater control over your online reports, displaying real-time results with enhanced graphics.
InSite is not shy in backing their ally's either. "To be able to build an on demand survey system that meets the needs of our customers we have taken full advantage of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Internet Information Server", said Miller; "and we are yet to see any compelling reason to explore other alternatives."
InSite is fast becoming one of the few companies that have mastered delivering on demand computing. Roberts notes, "our success is based on the success of our customers. We've generated quite a buzz around the fact that the application manages the entire survey process so easily and effectively that our customers are truly amazed and share their success with others."
As for the future, Roberts indicates the company has a few new applications percolating in the background but "will be occupied for the foreseeable future" advocating InSite Professional to anyone interested in a "smarter way" to conduct surveys.
